Each Central Catholic student is required to complete 20 hours of service work outside the school day every year. Our goal is that all students will be more aware of the needs of the Church and community by the time they graduate from CCHS. We hope they will have discovered their spiritual gifts so they may accomplish our mission, “to think and act like Christ.” Each grade level is assigned a different area to focus their efforts- freshmen work on improving the environment, sophomores work with children and/or adults and juniors serve the sick and elderly. By the time students reach their senior year, they will have found a cause in which they truly want to focus their efforts
In addition to the 20 hours of outside service, Central Catholic students also participate in a school wide canned food drive in the first semester as well as a spring semester service day in which the entire school takes part.
“For the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many.”-Galatians 5:13
