Mr. Gerald Pockl ’69

He formally taught at John Marshall High School in Glendale, WV and at Linsly.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from West Liberty State College, and his Master’s degree from West Virginia University.
Gerald has been teaching AP Calculus since 1984.
He has been a Table Leader for the past fourteen years and a Reader for six years for Advanced Placement Calculus.
Gerald is a nationally endorsed CollegeBoard consultant who has led workshops in Maine, Washington, California, and the Midwest.
Gerald was selected as Marshall County’s Teacher of the Year for 1983, 1985 and 2013 and authored the 6 “free response” questions for Houghton-Mifflin’s AP Online Test Preparation (Dec. 2004).
Gerald enjoys football, gardening, traveling, and fishing.
