Building Healthy Bodies and Minds

At CCHS, we believe in the importance of preparing our students, both intellectually and physically, for life after high school. Participation in athletics is strongly encouraged and we offer a wide variety of options, each designed to meet the needs and interests of the individual student. The advantages of participating in sports are numerous and well-documented. In addition to the obvious health benefits, students learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, and accountability. Students can earn Physical Education credits and those who opt not to participate in a sport, summer and after-school programs are available.

The mission of the Health & Physical Education Department is to equip the students with the necessary knowledge and skills to allow them to achieve their God-given potential – physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.  Our goal is for students to grow into mature, Christian adults who will make wise decisions that reflect their Catholic faith.
