Exploring History and Human Societies
The Social Studies Department is dedicated to guiding students to deeper understanding in the social sciences of history, political science, cultural geography, and psychology. Students are challenged to become active in their own learning, embrace knowledge, and broaden their understanding of human societies and social relationships. High expectations for student success are the foundation of every social studies course. The Social Studies Department celebrates high academic achievement in the social studies classes and responsible citizenship through the induction of juniors and seniors into the Rho Kappa National Honor Society for the Social Studies.
