Summer Knights

Offered to ALL Students 6-12 Grade

We are excited to be offering summer programs for middle and high school students. You do not need to be a CCHS student to attend our workshops. We offer a diverse selection of programs this summer, each of which is listed below. Along with each program you will find its description. Registration is located at the bottom of this page.

 Course Title: PREVIEW/REVIEW ALGEBRA 1

Course Description: This course will be a review of Algebra 1 material that is required to know before taking Geometry. This course will also be beneficial to students who are currently in Geometry, but would like to review concepts before taking Algebra 2. Designed to preview basic Algebraic concepts, including operations with integers, positive and negative fractions and decimals, order of operations, simplifying Algebraic expressions, implementation of the distributive property, solving equations with variables, operations with polynomial expressions, and factoring polynomials. Variety of problem-solving techniques are applied. The content of this course is important for students’ success in high school math and for both the ACT and SAT exams.

Entering Grade: 7-12 Instructor: Perdziola

Course Title:
TEST PREP/SAT/ACT/EVERYDAY PROBLEM SOLVING

Course Description: A variety of instructional methods will be implemented to meet each student’s learning style. This course is designed to prepare students for the SAT/ACT test in mathematics by familiarizing each student with the organization and content of the test. Most of the time will be spent reviewing key concepts in math; however some time will be dedicated to developing test-taking strategies and practice testing.

More importantly, this course will focus on the art of everyday problem solving which every student will need to master to be successful in his or her future.  This program covers various problem solving techniques from Pre-Algebra to Precalculus that fall within the range of Grade 7-12 math. This Ultimate Classroom is a comprehensive test prep that includes 20-24 hours of in-class instruction, practice exams and practice questions. All materials are included with the course fee.
